Walking our dogs is a necessity. Two studies out of Europe detailed in this article from author Jurgen Thoelen at Medium.com, Belgian-Dutch Study: Why in times of COVID-19 you should not walk/run/bike close behind each other, give some better ideas of ways to safely distance yourself and your dog while sharing the park with other people.

Current US guidelines recommend staying 6 feet from others, or 1.82 meters, if you're going by the European recommendation of 1-2 meters, but the virus can actually linger in the air if an infected person is running or biking ahead of you! Make sure to stay far back and try not to walk into their wake! Hope these tips are helpful, stay safe and stay at home, everyone!
